Dave and Gerry welcome you to our web site which we are developing as a major source of info. for our family and friends about the island of Alonissos.  All the information about the island of Alonissos can be accessed via the menu bar at the top of each page.
About Us has a variety of information relating to Villa Aliki including contact details and location.  We have also provided links to some of the services we have used in buying and maintaining the house.  Check out our Greek Odyssey for some info. on the islands we visited before discovering Alonissos and why not have a go at some of the Greek recipes from the kitchen of Villa Aliki.
Agia Paraskevi is the patron saint of the island and the main church in Patitiri is named in her honour.  The church is the centre of Greek Orthodoxy and religious sevices are conducted there by the island's priest Father Avraam.  English language services are also being held and if you would like news and information about the church and forthcoming events then click on the icon of the saint.
Alonissos Time is two hours ahead of UK time and one hour ahead of the rest of continental Europe.  The clock has the up to date time here on the island and the rest of Greece.  To find the time at any other location in the world just click the clock to log on to the World Time Server web site.  If you have a web site of your own then you can use the on-line set up to obtain the hypertext.

Island Alonissos is being developed as our store of knowledge about the island of Alonissos.  Gathered under this heading is everything about Alonissos that has been gleaned from the Internet along with our personal experiences.  Every trip we make is a fact finding mission as well as a holiday and we intend to continually update our existing information on the island as well as adding new information.

Web Alonissos is a central repository of links to as many English language Internet sites as we can find on the web.  They are organised under three main headings of Alonissos links, General links and Tourism links, each of which has at least six sub-headings.  We also have some of Dave's personal web links and some direct links to useful software utilities.  We will add new web links as time permits.
What Alonissos is our on-line quiz that probes your knowledge of the Island of Alonissos and of Greece in general.  There are 20 questions to answer and on completion you will be given a percentage mark.  A lot of the questions relating to Alonissos are answered on this website somewhere or other.  When you are ready to have a go at the quiz just click on the question mark opposite.
What's New provides a quick guide to new page additions each month.  As we are now living on Alonissos the updating and adding of pages will be at a different frequency to the past.  We also appreciate that with more than 500 pages on the site it can be time consuming trying to work out which pages have been updated and which haven't.  Hopefully you will find this a useful addition to the site.
