Nik and Lyn Ivison welcome you to our web site and to Villa Alicia in the Old Village of Alonissos.

We discovered the beautiful island of Alonissos during the summer of 2002 and so fell in love with the island that we decided to move here on a permanent basis.  During Easter 2007 we came over to view properties and fell in love with the "houses at the well".  We made an offer which was accepted and after a frantic four months we sold our house in the UK and came to live here all year round with the other dozen or so non-Greeks that are permanent residents of the Old Village.  In our previous lives Lyn was a midwife and Nik worked for a large insurance company in London.

We live in the two bedroom house and Villa Alicia is our one bedroom adjoining that we rent out all year.  We had central heating installed so that during the colder winter months the house can be used by those people who want to get away from the stresses of everyday life or just simply sample life in a small community in Greece.  The winter months are very special to us all because it allows us to integrate into the Greek life on the island and have quality time with the wonderful friends we have come to know since we moved here.  It also gives us time to prepare for the onset of summer when we have visitors to the island and are less able to be around our island friends.
