The Hotel Roussas is a family hotel run by Nicos Roussas who is Greek and his wife Cindy who is Canadian. Both speak fluent English. Located to the west of Volos in a residential area near to the Hospital and Archaeological Museum the entrance is in Iatrou Tzanou off Plastira. Rooms have a TV and ensuite bathroom with shower plus a balcony with fridge. There are sea views to the front and to the mountains behind. Across Plastira is a park with bar as the picture of Gerry and Alice shows.
A walk along Plastira past the hospital takes you to a sandy beach with facilities for changing and showering. Bars at the back serve drinks and a limited food menu. Although the hotel is around 20 minutes walk from the town there are plenty of good restaurants, tsipourakia and bars in the area to satisfy anyones tastes. Or get a taxi via Nicos. |
