The hotel was first used by Gerry's brother Nik and wife Lyn. They said good things about the hotel so we opted to stay there in October 2005. When you arrive at the new harbour in Skiathos Town go out of the harbour compound and along the road to the right a few hundred yards. This takes you passed the taxi rank and towards a small green hut where you can get information on room rental. On the opposite side of the road just a little further on you will see the large plastic awning of the Meltemi Snack Bar. |

| To the side of this awning is the entrance to the Hotel Meltemi. The Hotel Meltemi is a family hotel run by Yorgos and Giuliana Rigas. We paid 40 euro for a very nice room with a double bed, TV, fridge, aircon and ensuite shower and toilet with a small balcony overlooking the harbour. In the morning you can view the sunrise from these rooms. The location is very central being only a few minutes walk to Papadiamantis Street or the Old Harbour. The hotel have postcards in the lobby which have pictures of the front of the hotel, the courtyard and a view of the balcony in one of the front rooms. |
