The Express Pegasus is an old friend of ours from 1997 when we went island hopping along the Western Cylclades and the Pegasus ferry was running from Piraeus to Milos via Kythnos, Serifos and Sifnos. We are pleased to see the now re-named Express Pegasus ferry in 2010 running on the Agios Konstantinos to Alonissos route.
The Express Pegasus was originally named the Espresso Venezia and was built in Italy in 1977 and spent 17 years in Italian waters before being sold to Ventouris Ferries in 1994. Renamed the Pegasus from the Expresso Malta the ferry became the Express Dionysus in 1999 when Ventouris became part of Hellas Ferries. Renamed the Express Pegasus she has remained in Greek waters and we now find her in and out of Patitiri harbour. |
