| Dimitroula was built in Italy in 1978 and named the Verga and operated in Italian waters for 19 years with the Tirrenia di Navigazione company. In 1997 the Dimitroula was sold to GA Ferries and refitted and is currently, as of 2007, sailing from Thessaloniki to Crete via the Sporades (including Alonissos) and the Cyclades island chains. |
