E92 Bus to Kifissia from Athens Airport

Since the new airport opened at Spata there have been efforts made to connect up the main transport hubs around Athens with the airport.  The E92 express bus service connects the airport with the Elektrikos Line 1 station at Kifissia.  Line 1 runs down through the northern suburbs of Athens to Monastiraki and then down to the port of Piraeus.  This is very convenient if you have to catch a ferry.

This provides a further option for travel from Alonissos to the airport because the private bus from Agios Konstantinos stops outside the Elektrikos station at Kifissia.  If you don't have time to go into Athens then Kifissia is one of the most desirable places around Athens to live, so why not find a nice bar or taverna and have some lunch.  A much better option than eating at the airport.

The bus runs 24 hours a day between Plateia Platanou in Kifissia and Athens airport.  The fare is 3.20 euro and to be safe allow about an hour for the journey.  The ticket can be bought from the driver or at a kiosk.  Don't forget that your ticket needs validating by inserting it into the orange box in the bus.  Failure to do this could lead to a fine if an inspector comes onto the bus.

The current timetable is on-line with a page in English.  Check the on-line timetable at the OASA Internet site using the web link.
