| Achilles was built in Japan in 1987 for the Nishinomiya Ferry company under the name of the Awaji and sailed for them until the year 2000 when it was sold and renamed the Namhaegosok Car Ferry. The ferry was bought by the island of Skyros in 2004 and underwent a refit when it was renamed Achilles and has sailed under the banner of the Skyros Shipping company ever since. |
