Villa Alicia For Rent:  Gerry's brother Nik and his wife Lyn have a fully fitted, centrally heated 1 bedroom house for all year round rental in the Old Village.  The house has car access and is very conveniently situated for all the local shops and tavernas.  To access their web space on our website click on the picture of Villa Alicia or alternatively follow this link to Owners Direct.
Agia Paraskevi is the patron saint of the island and the main church in Patitiri is named in her honour.  The church is the centre of Greek Orthodoxy and religious sevices are conducted there by the island's priest Father Avraam.  English language services are also being held and if you would like news and information about the church and forthcoming events then click on the icon of the saint.
Alonissos Info A-Z is our store of knowledge about the island and gathered under this heading is everything about Alonissos that has been gleaned from the Internet along with our personal experiences.  Every event that we attend and every trip we make is a fact finding mission and we intend to continually update our existing information on the island as well as adding new information.
Alonissos Noticeboard will have a posting for all the forthcoming events in each month that we get information about.  We felt that the information about events was likely to get buried within Breaking News and so we though it would be more of a focus for people on the island and visitors to Alonissos to see in detail what, when and where things are happening.  Click on the board for information.
Alonissos Quiz is our on-line quiz that probes your knowledge of the Island of Alonissos and of Greece in general.  There are 20 questions to answer and on completion you will be given a percentage mark.  A lot of the questions relating to Alonissos are answered on this website somewhere or other.  When you are ready to have a go at the quiz just click on the question mark opposite.
Alonissos Time is two hours ahead of UK time and one hour ahead of the rest of continental Europe.  The clock has the up to date time here on the island and the rest of Greece.  To find the time at any other location in the world just click the clock to log on to the World Time Server web site.  If you have a web site of your own then you can use the on-line set up to obtain the hypertext.
Breaking News has the latest information from the Island of Alonissos as it happens or as the "rumour mill" suggests it will happen.  The information may be informative, it may be quirky, it may be off the wall but the one thing you can guarantee is that it is up to the moment.  Click on the link to get the up to date info. on what is happening on the gem of the Aegean.
What's New provides a quick guide to new page additions each month.  As we are now living on Alonissos the updating and adding of pages will be at a different frequency to the past.  We also appreciate that with more than 1000 pages on the site it can be time consuming trying to work out which pages have been updated and which haven't.  Hopefully you will find this a useful addition to the site.
